Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors
The BC Branch of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI) works to protect the health of all British Columbians on environmental issues while promoting the science of environmental health and the profession.
We represent active members of the BC Branch, which include Drinking Water Officers (DWO's), throughout the province who are employed by local Health Authorities, and other agencies, that work with water system operators to ensure that drinking water is safe to drink and complies with the Drinking Water Protection Act and Regulation.
The BC CIPHI Branch liases with the Ministry of Health, Health Authorities and representatives of professional/technical agencies that work on drinking water systems developing legislation, policies and guidelines that govern the practice of providing safe drinking water in BC.
